Fees

The fee for a full diagnostic assessment is £1350 and for access arrangements is £450

When you book an assessment, you will receive an invoice. Our preferred payment method is bank transfer. A deposit of £200 is payable within ten days to secure the booking. The balance is payable 48hours before the day of the assessment. If you would like to pay in smaller instalments please let us know and we can make an arrangement to suit both parties. Please note that the report cannot be released until full payment is received. 

Questionnaires

Background information is a very important part of the assessment process. Once a date has been confirmed, we will need the questionnaires returned within ten days to secure the booking. This allows us to prepare for the assessment and select the appropriate tests.

Cancellation policy

If you need to cancel your assessment, you will need to notify us by email at info@dyslexiaexplained.org.uk

We appreciate that circumstances can change, and you may need to cancel the assessment. However, due to the demand for assessments, we need to insist that cancellation without a valid reason will incur the following charges:

• Cancellation 7 days prior to a booked session – 50% of the full fee

• Cancellation 14 days prior to a booked session – deposit only 

If we need to cancel the assessment, we will reschedule to a mutually convenient date as soon as possible or issue a full refund.  The same applies if you need to change the assessment date, but please be aware that you may need to wait for an appointment to become available. 

Report

Following the assessment, please allow up to 21 days for the report to be sent to you. Minor amendments to the background information may be requested within 30 days of receipt of the report. Once a report has been finalised and a follow-up discussion of the results has taken place  (no later than 30 days after the report has been submitted), the assessment process will be concluded. Any and all intellectual property rights in and relating to DyslexiaExplained are owned by Dimitrios Alexiou. Unauthorised use of those materials including reproduction, storage, modification, distribution or republication without the prior written approval of Dimitrios Alexiou is strictly prohibited and may result in prosecution.

Requirements

A valid eye test conducted within the past 12 months is a prerequisite for the assessment. Completion of the parents’ questionnaires, school questionnaires and visual difficulties screening questionnaires are mandatory prior to the assessment. These need to be returned at least two weeks prior to the assessment; otherwise, we reserve the right to postpone the assessment.
